Privacy
TourHero is built to make show days and tours easier. We use a small amount of product analytics to understand if people can find what they need, which features are useful, and where the app is slow or confusing. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or score how anyone does their job.

TL;DR | TourHero is not creepy.
- The information you put into TourHero is used to run tours, shows, day sheets, schedules, and guest lists.
- Product analytics helps answer aggregate questions such as how many people signed in, opened notifications, or read a day sheet. It is off unless you choose to allow it.
- Masked session replay shows the interaction flow, clicks, and page changes, not a camera-style video. Text inputs are hidden.
- Signed-in analytics uses a random account identifier so one person is counted correctly across sessions. That makes the data pseudonymous, not fully anonymous.
- We do not use analytics to monitor productivity, follow anyone around in the physical world, read private touring content, or build advertising profiles.
Information TourHero handles
Account and profile information. This can include your name, email address, profile photo, bio, website, Instagram handle, role, and the bands or tours you belong to.
Touring information. TourHero stores the information people intentionally add to the product, including bands, tours, shows, venues, schedules, day sheets, contacts, documents, guest-list entries, and notifications. Some of this information may be about another person, such as a guest name or venue contact. Only add information you are allowed to share.
Technical and usage information. When you use TourHero, we may receive page paths, feature and button interactions, session timing, browser and device type, screen size, performance measurements, error information, and a general location inferred from an IP address. We do not use analytics to collect precise physical location.
How product analytics works
We use PostHog for product analytics and masked session replay, and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for traffic and performance measurements. For a signed-in user, TourHero sends a random internal account ID to PostHog so visits can be counted consistently. This can not be tied back to you.
Masked session replay is a playback of how the app was used, not a camera-style video. It can show the shape of a page, scrolling, clicks, and which controls were used when we investigate a confusing experience or bug. TourHero configures replay to hide displayed text and form inputs. It only starts if you separately enable it. We are interested in whether the interface worked, not in watching the details of someone's tour.
Our normal use of this information is aggregate reporting—for example, daily active users, day sheets viewed per user, feature adoption, session duration, and performance. A TourHero administrator may occasionally inspect an individual event or masked replay to diagnose a specific product problem.

Who can receive information
People you work with. Profile and touring information is shared with band, tour, venue, or show participants according to TourHero's access rules. Information is not automatically public just because it is in TourHero.
Service providers. TourHero currently relies on Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Vercel for hosting, traffic analytics, and performance; and PostHog for product analytics and masked session replay. Map and weather features may also make requests to Google Maps and Open-Meteo. These providers process information only to supply their services to TourHero and under their own privacy and security terms.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect a person or the service, or as part of a business reorganization. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Retention and account deletion
We keep account and touring information while it is needed to provide TourHero. Because tours are collaborative, deleting an account may require transferring ownership or may leave shared operational records that other participants still need. The account-deletion flow previews those effects before anything is removed.
Analytics and diagnostic information is kept only while it is reasonably useful for understanding product trends, fixing problems, protecting the service, or meeting legal obligations. Retention can also depend on the settings and backup cycles of our service providers. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information inside TourHero and can start account deletion from Profile → Settings. You may also ask for a copy of your personal information, request a correction or deletion, object to or limit certain uses, or ask not to be included in optional product analytics. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights and the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
Product analytics and masked session replay are both off by default. You can allow or withdraw either choice at any time under Profile → Privacy. Withdrawing a choice stops future collection and does not affect your access to TourHero. You can also contact us for help with an opt-out or data-rights request.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, database security rules, encrypted connections, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security, so please tell us promptly if you believe an account or tour has been accessed improperly.
TourHero and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections can differ by country; where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TourHero changes. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice when a change meaningfully affects how personal information is handled.
